Lockdown: Think. Grow. Fly – Result
“A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward it’s achievement.”
We would like to introduce our esteemed judges for the competition Lockdown: Think.Grow.Fly.Parents- My H20 Happiness.Hope.Oxygen held on 12th, 13th, 14th April 2020, they are personalities who have great achievements in their life as well as work towards the empowerment of the Transgender community.
- Ms Nishtha Nishant
She is a scientific researcher and she works at Lilac Insights, Mumbai. She is one of the Trailblazers from the Transgender community and an equal rights activist. Nishtha has been a teacher and counselor who rendered her services to several educational institutes, Teach for India and Mentor me India. Nishtha is a Keshav Suri Foundation’s fellow. Her appearances or visibility through Mirror Now debates, Buzzfeed India & Times Now videos and hosting the red carpet at Kashish MIQFF inspires the youth to lead a better Queer life. Nishtha’s humble and kind nature attracts a lot of parents who become strong allies to the Queer community.
- Ms Krupali Bidaye
She works in the Social Development sector as a Consultant working in areas of Social Inclusion, Program Communication and Gender. She also leads the Third ‘I’- Trans and Hijra Empowerment initiative at Anam Prem, which aims at inclusion and mainstreaming of the transgender community through various innovative approaches. She is also the Convenor of the Trans and Hijra Empowerment Mela (2016, 2017, 2018) the first-of-its-kind innovative platform in India, encouraging trans entrepreneurship, aiming to provide financial and market linkages, and foster inclusion through livelihoods creations.
She was recently awarded the Loksatta Tarun Tejankit Award 2019, by the Indian Express Group, and has been honoured with Yashwantrao Chavan Yuva Puraskar 2018. She received a Special Jury Mention at the Sandvik India Gender Awards 2018, for the innovative inclusion model. She has also been the recipient of I volunteer Hero Award 2017 for her outstanding voluntary services in the field of gender mainstreaming and diversity. She has been recognised as one of the Top 100 Diversity and Inclusion Leaders at the World Diversity Congress 2018.
Team RAAH would like to announce the winners for Lockdown- Think.Grow.Fly. held on 12th,13th,14th April 2020. We are privileged to get entries from different institutions, across various states from India.
Our Topic for the event was Parents- My H20 Happiness.Hope.Oxygen. Every entry received had positivity in their work and gave their best to empower the thoughts of the parents of transgender children. We hope that you were sensitized towards the transgender people while creating awareness for parental support.
Spreading Positivity – Make a Meme competition held on 12th April 2020, Lockdown- Think.Grow.Fly.,Parents- My H20 Happiness.Hope.Oxygen, a RAAH initiative,Department of Child Development, Maniben Nanavati Women’s College.
Meme have always been a source of humour, this competition had a twist to empower the thoughts of the parents of transgender cildren by creating positive meme and the participants have done wonderful job.

Participants did a wonderful job by using their power of words to make parents aware of how important they are and how strong they stand in the lives of their children.
